LCARS Watch Face by squirrelfire
LCARS Watch Face
After having the LG G watch for several months I finally got around to tinkering with building a watch face, and I thought the LCARS system would be a cool idea. The design is loosely based on the LCARS system from Star Trek TNG because that was my favorite era. I included date, time, location, temperature, and battery information so I could have pretty much everything I wanted to look at available at a glance. On the right is a photo of the watch face in action, unfortunately the camera sort of washed out some of the colors and turned the whites into light blues. Oh well.

So, it has been a couple of months since I posted my initial blog post that accompanied the creation of this account.  I will admit I am absolutely horrible about keeping up with my blogs, but I figured that since I use this portfolio as a reference for design jobs I probably should keep everything up to date.  So rather than actually expending any effort writing a blog post here, I will point out that I have been blogging on a monthly basis over at #FaithDesign so you should go over there and while you are there check out some of the excellent design work there.  Of course, if you got here from #FaithDesign then you are out of luck.  Check back regularly for a lack of updates.

About me. I am a freelance comic creator and industrial designer who does some other graphic work on the side to make ends meet. Recently got a Surface Pro and am loving be able to draw directly on the screen at home or on the road. I often work with vector based shapes for my design work but I never know what I may end up creating.
